About MeI attended Bushnell-Prairie City schools from 1975-1988, then attended Illinois Wesleyan University and Western Illinois University, graduating from WIU in 1992 with a major in Mathematics Education and a minor in physics. I taught for one year in Coal City before accepting my current position as a math teacher at Seneca Township High School. I earned a Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University in May 1997. I have always enjoyed athletics, especially basketball and softball. I coached both sports, giving up basketball when I started to get my master's degree and softball when Levi was born. I like to watch Jeff play softball and to play basketball and softball when I have time. I took a year off of teaching when I had Levi and returned the following fall. I am now taking a year off after Calvin's birth. I last taught Algebra II, General Math, and Calculus. I very much enjoy teaching the students of Seneca High School; they are generally kind and respectful and enjoy learning. I am blessed to be able to stay at home now though, since I have to get up 2-5 times per night to feed Calvin and get Levi back to sleep. Other than the lack of sleep, I am having a great time staying home with them! In addition to teaching and my past coaching, I am a Peer Helper and Math Team coach, I teach the mathematics portion of our school's ACT Prep course, and I spend time helping Jeff with FFA activities.
